About Shirin Ebadi
Dr. Shirin Ebadi, former Iranian lawyer and judge became the first Iranian woman and Muslim to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2003 for promoting democracy and human rights for women and children in Iran.
Today, Dr. Ebadi congratulates the courageous women of Iran and the men who have stood beside them against the brutality of the regime in their struggle for dignity and freedom.
